‘Penthouse 3’ confirmed to be in the works, to air once a week

Penthouse season 1 and 2 screenwriter Kim Sun-ok has reportedly finished writing the script for the last episode of the second season and is now preparing for the third season, according to media insiders earlier this week. The production crew of the SBS hit drama Penthouse 2 has confirmed this and said, “Kim Sun-ok has recently finished writing the script for season 2, so we will be able to finish filming the second season at the end of March.” An official from SBS also confirmed that Writer Kim is now working on the script for season 3.
Penthouse 2 takes off from the story of the first season, where women of high class continue to fight over power, dominance, and influence inside a 100-floor penthouse. Season 2 stars Eugene (All About My Mom), Kim So-yeon (Mother of Mine), and Uhm Ki-joon (Heart Surgeons). The first season ended last January, with its final episode recording the drama’s highest viewership rating of 28.8 percent. The second season immediately sailed off on February 19, with 16.7 percent as its premiere’s rating. The latest episode has recorded the season’s highest rating yet at 26.9 percent. The production crew will be taking a two-week vacation after the completion of the filming for season 2 and will resume shooting for its next season, which will air only once a week.
